A few months ago, I searched how to drink more water every day.
It sounds simple, but I realized I was barely drinking any water at all. I would have coffee in the morning and maybe something else later, but plain water? Not much.
By the afternoon, I often felt tired. Sometimes I had a slight headache. I blamed stress. I blamed sleep. I didn’t think about water.
Then one day, I decided to try something small.
Instead of trying to drink eight glasses a day like the internet suggests, I started with one rule.
I would drink one full glass of water before noon.
That was it.
No big water bottle. No tracking app. No complicated routine.
Just one glass before lunch.
The first few days, I had to remind myself. I would almost forget. But once I drank it, I noticed I didn’t feel as sluggish by midday.
After a week, I added one more glass in the afternoon.
Still nothing dramatic. I didn’t suddenly feel like a different person. But I felt steadier. My energy didn’t drop as hard. My skin felt less dry. Even my appetite felt more balanced.
I didn’t force myself to change everything at once.
When I searched how to drink more water every day, most advice felt strict. Large water goals. Timed reminders every hour. That approach didn’t work for me.
What worked was smaller.
One glass before noon.
One glass in the afternoon.
Now I don’t think about it much. It’s part of my day.
I still drink coffee. I still forget sometimes.
But I no longer go through an entire day without water.
It wasn’t a big reset.
It was just one small change, repeated.
