I Thought Change Would Feel Bigger

For a long time, I thought change would be obvious when it came.

I thought I would feel it.
I thought one day I would wake up and just know something was different.

But that is not how it went for me.

Nothing changed all at once.

It was slower than that.

At first, I did not even notice it.
My life still looked the same.
I still got tired.
I still had messy days.
I still had things I kept putting off.

But after a while, some things were not as bad as they used to be.

I was answering things a little sooner.
I was leaving fewer things hanging.
My room felt a little less heavy.
My mind felt a little less crowded.

Not every day.
Not in some perfect way.
Just a little.

That is why I almost missed it.

There was no big moment.
No clean turning point.
No day when I suddenly became a different person.

It was more like small things stopped piling up the way they used to.

I handled a few things.
Then later, I handled a few more.
Then one day I noticed my life did not feel as backed up as before.

That was the change.

I think I had been waiting for something big.
Something clear.
Something I could point to and say, now it changed.

But that was not how it happened for me.

It was quieter than that.

I just felt a little less behind.
A little less buried.
A little less tired of carrying the same unfinished things.

From the outside, I still looked like the same person.

But living inside my own days felt different.

That was enough for me to know something had been changing.

Not overnight.

But over time.

Keep Going
